Our decks are particularly light, durable and waterproof. The composite material enables a thin construction and can be draped into any shape.
Cork, thanks to its elastic properties, can absorb shock waves very well and gives HARDCORK® skateboards a very smooth ride. The decks impress with their flexibility and sustained pop.
↗ COMPOSITE MATERIAL
HARDCORK® is a new, patented composite material made from the renewable raw materials cork, short fibers such as hemp or flax and thermoset bio-based resins.
For the skateboard core, cork granules with mixed fibers are bonded with resin and pressed under pressure.
HARDCORK® is pressure, tensile, shear and rot resistant as well as particularly light. The material has very good damping properties and reduces vibration.
↗ SUSTAINABILITY
HARDCORK® is particularly sustainable and has a negative CO2 footprint. The entire production process is solvent-free and the finished skateboard is completely innocuous.
Due to its bionic combination, HARDCORK® binds more CO2 than is released during the production process.
For cork production, cork oaks are harvested and not felled. The trees can offset 70 times more CO2 compared to their own weight, making them leaders in the field.
